Noun: A noun is a name of person, place, thing, quality, or act.
Example- toy, book, john, Florida sadness

A noun is the name of a person, place, thing or any thing. Nouns have different types such as Proper and common nouns & abstract nouns.

Kids also can say any naming words, things, places are the nouns.

Nouns are naming words.Its also called subject.

Common noun - A common noun can be any general items which has not any name or any place name. Common noun start with a lowercase letter. Never use a capital letter unless it start with a sentence.

Common Nouns (Things)
Refrigerator, magnet, stove, window, coffee maker, wallpaper, spatula, sink, plate—all of these things are common nouns.

You can say Stove is common noun. But if any sentence has kenmore stove it is not common noun because it has a name.

Common Place-Mall, restaurant, school, post office, backyard, beach, pet store, supermarket, gas station.

Six rules for plurals

1.The plural of nouns is usually ended by adding - s to a singular noun.

Irregular Plural Nouns
Certain English nouns change a vowel sound when they become plural. These include goose, geese; man, men; mouse, mice; and tooth, teeth.

Some nouns don't change at all when they become plural. These include deer, fish, sheep, and species.

A few nouns have plural forms that are left from Old English. These include child, children and ox, oxen.

Verbs - Verbs is action word. They describe what someone is doing. There are three types of verbs: action, linking, and auxiliary.

Action Verb- An action verb expresses action. It shows what a person or a thing does.

Action can be thinking, relaxing,or any action that you notice in the sentence.

Linking Verbs - Linking verbs do not express action. Instead, they connect the subject of the verb to additional information about the subject.

It can be color, taste, size, type & etc.

When noun or pronouns describe something that are adjectives.
She likes pink purse. Pink is adjective.

Johnny does not like sweet cookies. Sweet is an adjective.
